Every Friday, in assembly, a member of staff shares one of their favourites book with the children. This week was Mrs Blezard's turn, who read a short story from Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes. Here's what she had to say about it...
I was given this book at the age of 7 by my Auntie. This book tells the stories that we know as traditional tales eg. Cinderella, The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood.
Each story is given a twist to the story we think we know. It makes me laugh because some of the story endings are very different to ones we know.
I have shared this book with my own children and they want me to re-read stories over and over again because they too now love them. At Christmas they were turned into animations on BBC1, with David Walliams doing some of the voices. I would recommend this book to all ages!
